WAM Award nominated, punk rock singer/songwriter Noah Skape continues to bring his two worlds of punk rock and musical theatre together in a jarring mash of queerness and angst.
Experiencing a Noah Skape (and his full band) live show is like watching a rock opera starring the bastard child of Jim Carrey and Jello Biafra singing about substance abuse and mental illness.
As it can be seen and heard in his latest single “Real World”, Noah isn’t shy about sharing his past. His years spent away from music dealing with homelessness and a debilitating meth addiction give him more reason than ever to be back with a vengeance and make up for lost time. This punk-cabaret singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist goth clown is a musical force to be reckoned with.
Noah’s passion for art and experimentation is clear, not only sonically through his singles “Miami Moon” and “Work Of Art (feat. Kye Smith)”, but also as an actor, most notably starring in the award winning short film “I’m Not Hurting You”, and the internationally acclaimed feature film “The Furnace” alongside David Wenham.
Off the back of WA’s iconic Hidden Treasures festival and supporting US artists Ceschi and Me First & The Gimme Gimmes, it’s clear why Xpress Mag gave Noah’s theatrical live show a record breaking 9/10 star rating and dubbed them “…world-class talent that deserves much more attention and credit“.
“…as high on theatrical melodrama as it was on passion and volume” – 100% Rock Magazine
“…all I can tell you is it’s incredible and it’s an act of cruelty to have any band have to follow them” – Wall Of Sound AU
