West Australian singer-songwriter Jade Rich is back with a brand new single titled “13”, a hook-heavy pop song signifying a transformative moment in her musical journey. “13” follows the widespread support of previous release “Polite” (August 2023) which found its place on Spotify’s
coveted ‘Fresh Finds Pop’ Playlist, garnered over 18K streams, accolades from respected music media moguls Pilerats and Backseat Mafia, and a near sold-out live
launch in her hometown of Perth.
Co-written and co-produced in collaboration with songwriter Reece Lenzo (Call Me Karizma, 44phantom,
CHEZ), and mixed and mastered by Gareth Thompson (Wallace, Tyde Levi), the track delves into themes of young love and nostalgia, reminiscing on early adventures with a crush that brought solace during a difficult time, encapsulating a feeling of freedom that comes with being thirteen.
Jade invites the listener into her world in a more intimate way than ever before, offering insights akin to those appreciated in artists like Holly Humberstone, coupled with the pop grooves of her inspirations like Griff & the soulful resonance comparable to Renee Rapp.
Jade Rich’s dynamic presence extends beyond the studio, as she has graced the stages alongside prominent West Australian acts such as Jordy Maxwell, Coterie, Supathick, Teischa, Death By Denim, and Riley Pearce, and in her first 12 months has played live at festivals including FIFA Fan Festival Perth and WAM’s Scarbs Beach Party, solidifying her status as a rising star in the Australian music scene.
To celebrate the release of “13,” Jade Rich will embark on a tour across Western Australia’s South West, accompanied by her full band and special guest, Albany’s very own Juni.
‘13’ will be out on all platforms on Friday, April 26
