David Rastrick and Tahlia Robinson-Solczaniuk will bring their sassy songs and risible rapport to Six Degrees on Sunday 3rd of April.
David Rastrick plays a mix of classic and original songs in different styles – jazz, reggae, blues, soul and more – on a multitude of instruments – electronic percussion pad, guitar, trumpets and vocals. While David is mostly known for playing in a plethora of bands around SW WA, he has toured his solo show ’round Australia.
Tahia Robinson-Solczaniuk is a vocalist and thespian, who has been seen and heard with various local musical productions in the Great Southern, including ALOTCo’s Seussical and SEA’s Penelope and Marlin.
Tahlia and David started the duo as a comedy duo, before surrendering to singing popular songs. The duo is currently working on getting back to its original vision, by adding in some comedy songs. Tahlia and David had previously performed together with Flamecue Jazz Band, and in the musical Penelope and Marlin, where David was musical director and Tahlia was a lead actress.
In Heads’n’Tails duo, Tahlia sings songs from a range of contemporary female vocalists (Ivy Levan, Laney Lane, ZZ Ward, Gin Wigmore…) as well as classics from Meat Loaf, Amy Winehouse, Kenny Rogers, Rocky Horror Picture Show and more.David Rastrick will play solo from 4 p.m., then be joined by Tahlia – performing as Heads’n’Tails duo – from 5:40 p.m – to 7 p.m. – on Sunday 3rd of April at Six Degrees.
