Perth-Hills born Singer-Songwriter, Michael Day, is an Alt/Folk
artist. Using his background in classical guitar and song-writing
finesse, Michael creates technical folk pieces, rich in character and
full of introspection and ponder.
Michael Day exists as a solo artist and a band, with driving
rhythms, ambient guitar lines, twangy banjo parts and vocal
harmonies.
Nominated for a WAM Song of the Year Award for their single
‘Storm’, and playing Blues at Bridgetown, 2021 was a productive
year for the band with 2022 not slowing down with more festivals
on the way and the recording of their debut EP.
The band have played alongside acts such as Donna Simpson (the
Waifs), Vdelli, Coterie, Dulcie, and Joan and the Giants.
